A hands-on journey from ocean to sushi
— just one hour from Tokyo
Aqua Quest Japan isn’t just a tour — it’s an exclusive journey into Japan’s coastal life.
Guided by locals who live and work by the sea, this hands-on experience connects you to the heart of Japan’s fishing and food culture. Whether setting sail from a quiet harbor on Kanagawa’s coast or learning sushi craft in an intimate kitchen, every moment is rooted in real people and real tradition.
Feel the sea breeze as you join a morning fishing trip, then turn your fresh catch into hand-made sushi under the guidance of a passionate local chef.
It's a day of discovery, connection, and flavor — where tradition meets hands-on adventure.
As the sun rises over the coast of Kanagawa, you’ll hop aboard a small fishing boat alongside a friendly local guide.
Cast your line into calm morning waters and learn simple, time-honored techniques passed down through local tradition. Feel the tug of the catch and breathe in the salty air.
Finally, get a firsthand look at how coastal life and sustainability go hand in hand.
After your morning at sea, bring your fresh catch to a traditional culinary setting. There, a skilled local chef will guide you through the next chapter of your journey — from live fish preparation to sushi-making demonstrations and hands-on techniques, depending on the day’s plan.
You may learn how to slice and serve your own catch, or simply enjoy watching the chef break down the fish with expert precision.
Either way, you’ll experience the beauty and respect embedded in Japan’s seafood culture — and taste the results at the table.
